   Where is hospice provided?

Hospice care is provided wherever the patient calls home. Most hospice patients receive care at home or at the home of a relative or friend. Hospice care can also be provided in long term care facilities, nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

   Who pays for the hospice?

Hospice care is covered through Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance plans, HMOs and private payment.
